"A warm up is on the way"
As we begin the week, we're in store for another cold morning across Southwest Florida. Through the night, winds have dropped off quite a bit allowing temperatures to plunge rapidly into the upper 30s in town with readings closing in on 32° deeper inland. As a result, freeze warnings will remain in effect for Charlotte, Inland Collier, DeSoto, Glades and Hendry until 8 am.
Sunshine will fill our skies this morning with a nice warm up on the way. By mid day, temperatures will climb into the 60s with a return to the lower 70s by late afternoon. With a cool and dry airmass still in place across the peninsula humidity values will be quite comfy through the day.
Tonight, mostly clear skies will remain in the forecast, however overnight lows won't be quite as cold. In fact most of the urban corridor will settle into the lower 50s with 40s to our north and across our inland communities.
High pressure will continue to move off the coast with winds taking more of a southeasterly turn through the middle part of the week. This will bring in a few more clouds across our skies each and everyday, while bumping our temperatures up into the lower 80s by Wednesday. A dry pattern will remain in place through the end of the work week with highs rebounding into middle 80s with lows in the middle 60s.

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.
IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
