HELLO-1SHOT PUSH

GOOD MORNING SOUTHWEST FLORIDA.

TODAY IS SUNDAY FEBRUARY 24TH.

I'M JOE ROETZ.

BEFORE WE GET TO OUR BIG STORIES OF THE DAY - LETS CHECK IN WITH METEOROLOGIST KIRA MINER WITH OUR FORECAST. Return to index of stories...

FIRST WEATHER-WX CTR

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

The calendar says February, but it feels more like late spring or early summer across Southwest Florida with our current weather pattern. That pattern will hold through Monday before changes arrive with the passage of a cold front on Tuesday.

You know it's going to be another warm day when temperatures are starting off in the upper 60s to 70° in most locations. Due to the high humidity and light winds overnight, patchy dense fog has formed across the area dropping visibilities in some spots to less than 1/4 of a mile. As a result, a dense fog advisory has been issued for Glades, Hendy, and Collier until 9am this morning. Low clouds and fog will begin to break throughout the mid morning hours, giving way to a mix of sun and clouds during the day. High pressure still remains in control of our weather with a warm breeze from the south and southwest. This will continue to pump in the warmth and extra humidity with highs climbing into the middle 80s. Slightly cooler readings will be across our beaches as highs remain in the upper 70s.

The vast majority of us will stay dry, however with this almost summer-like seabreeze pattern, a couple of isolated inland showers can't be ruled out during peak heating hours. Through the evening, mostly clear skies will prevail and overnight temperatures will be slow to fall. By early Monday, temperatures will have bottomed out in the upper 60s with another round of patchy dense fog.

More of the same is in store for Monday as a stalled front across the central Florida begins to retreat back to the north. Expect partly sunny skies, a stray shower or two, with highs in the middle 80s.

Changes will becoming down the pike by Tuesday with the arrival of a stronger cold front. This will increase our cloud cover and bring us a pretty good shot at scattered showers throughout the day. As this front lingers around Southwest Florida, showers will continue through Wednesday. Once the front clears the area, we'll see a cooler push of air with highs in the 70s, lows in the 50s with a nice drop in humidity values by Thursday. Return to index of stories...

MAIN WEATHER-WX CTR

YOU'VE PROBABLY HEARD OF THIS ONE. GREEN COFFEE BEAN EXTRACT.

"That is absolutely hands down out of all of them my favorite."

THE CRAZE OVER GREEN COFFEE BEAN TOOK OVER AFTER GETTING A STAMP OF APPROVAL FROM DR. OZ.

THE GOOD DOCTOR SAID YOU SHOULD BUY GREEN COFFEE BEAN WITH 45 PERCENT CHLOROGENIC ACID- THE KEY INGREDIENT.

"When you take it before a meal the chlorogenic acid inhibits your body from using you food as fuel and forces your liver to metabolize your stored fat and use that as your energy source."

"Well everybody's looking for hope in a bottle."

DIETITIAN CAROL WOLIN-RIKLIN SAID BEFORE YOU JUMP ON THE BANDWAGON, YOU SHOULD READ THE LABEL CAREFULLY.

"The one thing you have to be careful of is every brand of green coffee bean is different some have fillers such as caffeine and other products added to it so it's not always the same product in the bottle."

ANOTHER SUPERFOOD TO ADD TO THE MIX - RASPBERRY KEYTONE. OLSON REFERS TO IT AS THE TRIPLE THREAT.

"It's going to help your body burn more calories at rest. it inhibits how much fat it stored in your body and it breaks down fat cells."

SUZETTE LANG SWEARS BY IT

"It's really picked up my metabolism i have energy really helps suppress those urges to kind of pig out."

THIS SUPERFOOD HAS BEEN AROUND FOR GENERATIONS. MORINGA TREE. KNOWN AROUND THE WORLD AS THE MIRACLE TREE - IT'S BELIEVED TO REDUCE CRAVINGS, CURB THE APPETITE AND MORE.

"It has over 45 different types of antioxidants ounce for ounce in has 25 times the amount of iron found in spinach 15 times the amount of calcium found in milk and 9 times the amount of protein found in yogurt."

THIS ONE MAY BE HARD TO PRONOUNCE. GARCINA CAMBOGIA. BUT FANS OF IT BELIEVE IN WHAT DR. OZ CALLS THE HOLY GRAIL OF WEIGHT LOSS SUPPLEMENTS.

"It's been found to be three times more effective than diet and exercise alone."

"no matter which supplements and vitamins you decide to take it's recommended you discuss each and every one of them with your doctor to make sure that they're right for you
