530AM~STORMWARN FORECAST-WX CTR TO WX WALL

The pipeline of tropical moisture that's produced a couple cloudy, rainy days continues to dump moisture into Southwest Florida today, but we are tracking a couple improvements from yesterday's gloomy forecast.

First, the rain won't be as widespread, and second, temperatures will be warmer.

Rain will still be possible at any time and any place today, but the overall coverage of rain won't be as widespread as what we saw yesterday. Our rain chance today will be near 60%, so chances are good you'll encounter some passing showers at some point during the day.

With respect to temperatures, yesterday most of us didn't even warm into the 60s. Today, the cool air will start retreating to the north, and slightly warmer air will take its place. After starting this morning with temperatures in the 50s, we'll warm into the mid 60s by noon and most likely the low to mid 70s during the afternoon--about a 15 degree warm up from yesterday.

For those wanting some sunnier weather, there are improvements coming just in time for the weekend. Saturday will remain fairly cloudy, but we should manage partial sunshine from time to time. Some isolated showers will be possible tomorrow, but our rain prospects will be considerably low with the chance of rain around 30%.

Sunday's forecast looks even better with a partly cloudy sky and rain pretty much out of the forecast.

For the warm weather fans, you'll love this weekend. High temperatures will make the low to mid 80s Saturday and Sunday with overnight temperatures only cooling into the mid 60s.

The warm weather rolls along into next week, too, with highs in the mid 80s through mid week along with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Return to index of stories...

STORMWARN FORECAST-WX WALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS TH

E FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

FINAL WEATHER
