530AM~STORMWARN FORECAST-WX CTR TO WX WALL

A cool front is teasing Southwest Florida this morning, bringing some of us a taste of slightly cooler, less humid weather. The cool front will eventually move through the area late this weekend, but until then, our weather stays fairly warm and humid.

We've got a big spread in temperatures this morning with the front in close proximity; the Naples area is starting out mild and muggy with temperatures in the upper 60s while locations to the north are starting with temperatures as low as the 50s.

The refreshing feel to the air this morning will be brief. As the front drifts back to the north today, temperatures are set to warm back into the low 80s during the afternoon. We'll likely have some cloudier periods during the day, but the clouds should break up enough to give us partial sunshine at times. Winds will come in from the northeast today from 5-15 mph.

A few passing showers will be possible across Southwest Florida today, but our rain chances will stay relatively low at 30%.

As we head into the weekend, we'll likely start off Saturday morning with some fog and low clouds followed by partly cloudy and warm conditions in the afternoon with highs in the low 80s. Some isolated rain will be possible Saturday evening into Sunday morning as a cold front finally pushes through Southwest Florida, bringing us a drop in humidity along with slightly cooler temperatures by Sunday.

Sunday should end up being a very nice day with plenty of sunshine, lower humidity and highs in the upper 70s.

Our forecast looks pretty delightful to start the week as well. Morning temperatures Monday will be in the mid to upper 50s, and we'll warm back into the upper 70s during the afternoon with a mostly sunny sky.

Temperatures start to rebound by midweek with highs back in the 80s, but another cold front will approach the area Wednesday, potentially giving us another stretch of cooler weather for the second half of next week. Return to index of stories...

STORMWARN FORECAST-WX WALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS TH

E FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

FINAL WEATHER
