FIRST WEATHER-WX CTR

A weak cool front has slipped through Southwest Florida with very little fanfare. After cloudy skies yesterday, more sunshine will return for the second half of the weekend along with a slight dip in our humidity levels.

This morning mostly cloudy skies will get our day started with temperatures in the lower 60s. Slightly cooler readings will be felt across our northern communities as the mercury dips into the upper 50s. As that weak cool front pulls farther to the south, a northerly wind will develop and clouds will clear from north to south throughout the day. By the afternoon, partly to mostly sunny conditions will rule our skies with highs in the upper 70s.

Clear skies will continue into the evening and overnight hours, while a slightly cooler and drier airmass filters down the peninsula. This will allow our temperatures to fall into the middle to upper 50s by Monday morning.

High pressure will control our weather for the start of the week with lots of sunshine for our Monday. Daytime highs will gradually work their way into the upper 70s to lower 80s with comfortable humidity levels. A mainly dry pattern will hold in place through early Wednesday as temperatures return to the lower 80s. Another storm system developing in the Gulf of Mexico will sweep more moisture our way late Wednesday and into Thursday in the form of scattered showers. Return to index of stories...

MAIN WEATHER
