"A nice stretch of weather"

After a few cloudy days, the sunshine finally returned yesterday afternoon as a weak cold front swept through the area. As a result, we'll see a couple of cool mornings followed by warm afternoons as we get the week started. By mid week, we'll be tracking another weather system that will bring another shot of rain to Southwest Florida.

Our morning will start on a cool note, with many of us waking to readings in the middle to upper 50s. Some of our inland and northern cool spots may see temperatures dipping as low as 50° just before sunrise. Sunshine will fill our skies during the morning hours, with the exception of a few low clouds across our interior zones. Afternoon temperatures will return to the lower 80s, but it will feel quite nice outside as humidity levels will stay on the lower end.

Mostly clear skies will continue through the evening setting the stage for another cool night. Temperatures will settle into the upper 50s to 60° by morning with light winds across the region.

High pressure will remain in control of our weather pattern through Tuesday keeping us mostly to partly sunny. A warming trend will continue as daytime highs climb into the lower to middle 80s, while overnight lows warm back into the 60s. By Wednesday, we'll be tracking another storm system to our west that will aim more moisture toward the west coast of Florida. Expect a few showers deep inland Wednesday afternoon, with scattered showers developing during the evening and into early Thursday morning. Once this front passes through the peninsula, a much cooler and drier airmass will settle across the state. Highs will manage to reach the lower to middle 70s, while some forecast models are hinting at lows near 50° by Friday morning. Return to index of stories...

FINAL WEATHER
