"Sunny and dry stretch continues"

The high and mid level clouds that made their way across Southwest Florida yesterday kept temperatures a few degrees cooler as they topped out in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Now that the clouds have faded and moved east, we're on our way to a big warm up with more sunshine over the next few days.

Our morning will get off to a cool start, just not as chilly as yesterday. Mostly clear skies will remain in the forecast tonight with comfortable conditions. Temperatures will also be seasonable as they dip into the lower 60s in town.

Temperatures will start in the upper 50s along the urban corridor, while northern and inland cool spots settle into the lower 50s. Sunny skies will prevail throughout the mid day hours, and temperatures will be on the rise throughout the afternoon. Expect daytime highs to be a bit warmer today as they return to the middle 80s.

Mostly clear skies will remain in the forecast tonight with comfortable conditions. Temperatures will also be seasonable as they dip into the lower 60s in town.

High pressure will rule our weather over the next several days, keeping us under a tranquil pattern. Our skies will stay mostly to partly sunny through the end of the week with mainly dry weather. Winds will veer to the east and southeast allowing the warmth and humidity to move in. Daytime highs will climb into the middle 80s by mid week, with morning lows in the middle 60s. In fact by the end of the week, temperatures will soar into the upper 80s. The weekend right now is looking good, with our next chance for rain on the map by early next week.
