FIRST WEATHER-WX WALL

COOLER & DRIER FOR WEDNESDAY

Showers and a few storms rolled through Southwest Florida Tuesday, with highs climbing into the 80s. The rain showers will continue in a light fashion this evening, with temps holding in the 70s. The showers will diminish overnight, with lows in the low 60s.

Cooler air rushes into the area on Wednesday. We'll see partly cloudy skies through the day with highs only in the mid to upper 70s. A few sprinkles will also be possible, but most areas will stay dry.

The big story Wednesday will be the wind, with wind gusts over 30 mph possible. A Small Craft Advisory is also in effect for Wednesday.

Calmer weather is expected to close the week. Expect plenty of sun both Thursday and Friday, with highs in the low to mid 80s.

The weekend will feature more warmth and humidity. More cloud cover is expected on Sunday, with a very isolated shower possible. Highs both days will be in the mid to upper 80s.

Our next storm system arrives to start next week. Rain showers will be possible on Monday, with an even better chance for rain on Tuesday. Return to index of stories...
