530AM~STORMWARN FORECAST-WX CTR TO WX WALL

After a cool and breezy start to the morning with temperatures in the 50s, we'll warm up quickly throughout day the under full sunshine.

Humidity will stay at low and comfortable levels, and since the air will be so dry, rain won't be in the our forecast at all.

Temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 70s by noon and then peak in the low to mid 80s during the afternoon hours; coastal communities will stay closer to 80 while inland zones get closer to 85 degrees.

The wind won't be as strong today, but we'll still have some gusts in the 15-20 mph range.

this evening and tonight will be very pleasant but still a little on the cool side.

Most of us closer to the coast and along the urban corridor will drop to the low 60s, except around Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda where we'll dip into the upper 50s.

We continue the warming trend Friday through the weekend with daytime highs bouncing back to the mid to upper 80s.

Humidity also makes a comeback late this weekend, but moisture will still be too limited to bring a significant rain chance into the forecast, keeping the weekend outlook mainly dry and sunny.

The next chance of rain likely won't be until Tuesday when a weak cool front slides down the Florida peninsula. Return to index of stories...
