530AM~STORMWARN FORECAST-WX CTR TO WX WALL

We're on track to see a classic spring day across Southwest Florida for our Friday, featuring plenty of warmth and sunshine.

Today will likely be a touch warmer than Thursday as our daytime highs peak in the mid 80s for most of the region.

With our winds out of the east, expect mostly sunny weather to dominate our Southwest Florida sky through the day with just a little cloud cover mixing in with sunshine.

Humidity levels will continue to stay relatively low for now, which will certainly keep the comfort level of the air feeling nice and comfortable.

The atmosphere is far to dry and stable to mention any significant rain chance, and most of us should end up staying dry through the weekend with rain chances only at 20%.

The main focus over the weekend will be temperatures as the warming trend continues across Southwest Florida. Daytime highs over the weekend will climb into the mid to upper 80s, and a few locations may even flirt with 90 degrees by Sunday afternoon.

Looking ahead to next week, the next decent chance for rain will come in the Tuesday/Wednesday time frame as a weak cool front slides down the Florida peninsula.

This next front won't be as strong as the last one, so don't expect much of a cool down once it passes by the second half of the week. Return to index of stories...
