CLOUDY AND LESS HUMID

A cold front positioned just south of Southwest Florida will be close enough to allow for plenty of cloud cover to stream in off the Gulf of Mexico today. Winds will be from the northeast around 10 mph leading to less humidity today. Afternoon high temperatures will reach into the lower upper 70s and lower 80s; noticeably cooler than yesterday. Lows tonight will be in the mid 60s.

A disturbance will track across the Gulf of Mexico in the next couple of days giving us lots of clouds along with scattered showers and even a few storms for Thursday and Friday. There could even be a lingering shower on Saturday. Through Easter weekend, a drying trend is on the way as that system exits the area. We'll see partly to mostly sunny skies for your Easter plans.

Forecast models are hinting at another disturbance crossing the Gulf of Mexico by the end of the week, which will keep our skies mostly cloudy with scattered rain. By Saturday, this system should begin to shift to the east, with Easter weekend looking mostly to partly sunny with temperatures in the middle to upper 80s. For Easter sunrise services, temperatures will be in the mid 60s. Return to index of stories...

STORMWARN FORECAST-WX WALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.
