THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA. Return to index of stories...

FORECAST-WXWALL

"Rain and storms move back in for Thursday"

Despite the extra clouds yesterday along with a few rain areas, temperatures managed to reach the middle to upper 80s during the day. We got a brief break from the heat and humidity today with daytime highs running a few degrees cooler.

Through the late afternoon hours, expect variable clouds across the area with a few rays of sunshine breaking through from time to time. Temperatures today stayed rather cool for this time of year as many spots topped out into the upper 70s to right around 80° along with lower humidity. As the day comes to a close, a stray shower or sprinkle is still possible across parts of southern Collier county.

This evening expect the clouds to linger along with mainly dry weather. Temperatures won't be as cool as they settle into the middle 60s area wide.

Winds will turn more easterly on Thursday allowing temperatures to warm into the middle 80s. The stalled out front to our south will return north with moisture moving back into the area. As a result scattered showers and even a few strong storms will be possible especially during the afternoon. Skies will stay pretty cloudy through Friday, as we watch another system approach the Florida peninsula. This will keep rain and a few storms in the forecast on Friday and through early Saturday morning. Afternoon highs will run in the 80s, while lows remain in the 60s. As this system pulls east, forecast models are hinting at a sunnier and drier Easter weekend with highs in the middle to upper 80s. Return to index of stories...

SATURDAY APRIL 5TH, JUST AFTER 5 A-M; AS THE FAMILY OF THREE SLEEPS, AN INTRUDER SNEAKS AROUND, HOVERING OVER WHAT'S MOST IMPORTANT.

I was infuriated when I saw him walking back and forth in my baby's room.

HE SHINES THE FLASHLIGHT THROUGHOUT THE ROOM AND EVEN ON THE SLEEPING CHILD. THIS IS EDITED VIDEO PROVIDED BY THE HARRIS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE BUT FATHER THINH LE SAYS AT ONE POINT THE TWO MAKE EYE CONTACT AND THEN THE LITTLE BOY GOES BACK TO SLEEP. CAMERAS ARE MOUNTED THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE AND LE SAYS THE BURGLAR KNEW IT BUT DIDN'T CARE.

He looked up and at some of the cameras and saw and made some statement that I'm here and I don't care.

THE FAMILY ACTUALLY DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE BREAK IN UNTIL A NEIGHBOR FOUND THEIR LAPTOP AND BRIEFCASE AND RETURNED IT. LE REVIEWED HIS SURVEILLANCE VIDEO AND FOUND THE CREEPY IMAGES.

He's really gutsy.

INVESTIGATORS BELIEVE THE INTRUDER IS A TEENAGER. HE GOT IN THROUGH AN UNLOCKED FIRST FLOOR WINDOW, STOLE ONLY 60 DOLLARS BUT ALSO PEACE OF MIND -- HIS SON IS HIS WORLD.

As soon as I know we got broken into I went upstairs right away checked on him and kissed him so hard. Return to index of stories...
