Rain and storms move back in for Thursday"

Despite the extra clouds yesterday along with a few rain areas, temperatures managed to reach the middle to upper 80s during the day. We got a brief break from the heat and humidity today with daytime highs running a few degrees cooler.

Through the late afternoon hours, expect variable clouds across the area with a few rays of sunshine breaking through from time to time. Temperatures today stayed rather cool for this time of year as many spots topped out into the upper 70s to right around 80° along with lower humidity. As the day comes to a close, a stray shower or sprinkle is still possible across parts of southern Collier county.

This evening expect the clouds to linger along with mainly dry weather. Temperatures won't be as cool as they settle into the middle 60s area wide.

Winds will turn more easterly on Thursday allowing temperatures to warm into the middle 80s. The stalled out front to our south will return north with moisture moving back into the area. As a result scattered showers and even a few strong storms will be possible especially during the afternoon. Skies will stay pretty cloudy through Friday, as we watch another system approach the Florida peninsula. This will keep rain and a few storms in the forecast on Friday and through early Saturday morning. Afternoon highs will run in the 80s, while lows remain in the 60s. As this system pulls east, forecast models are hinting at a sunnier and drier Easter weekend with highs in the middle to upper 80s. Return to index of stories...

NEW TONIGHT --

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

YOU'RE IN THE PARK WITH YOUR CHILD WHEN YOU SEE A VAN PULL UP, MEN SNATCH A CHILD AND TAKE OFF.

THAT'S WHAT PARENTS IN ONE SEATTLE PARK WITNESSED.

THEY PANICKED.

TONIGHT - THEY'RE FURIOUS BECAUSE WHAT THEY SAW WAS NO ABDUCTION.

IT WAS A PRANK. Return to index of stories...

PARENTS UPSET OVER FAKE ABDUCTION-PKG

Everyone was furious.

PARENTS STILL CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT THEY SAW IN THIS QUIET PARK NEAR SEATTLE.

It was terrifying, for everybody involved.

A VIOLENT CHILD ABDUCTION.

A van pulls up and a guy jumps out with what I thought was a halloween mask, it's more like a ski mask, and races up to a little boy and scoops him up runs back and jumps in the van. takes off.

Everyone started calling 911.

There were a bunch of kids freaking out and parents freaking out.

MOMENTS LATER THE VAN CAME BACK.

THE PEOPLE INSIDE TOLD PARENTS THEY WERE MAKING AN EDUCATIONAL VIDEO ON CHILD ABDUCTIONS AND THE CHILD'S MOTHER WAS IN ON IT.

They were saying it's for kidnapping awareness to show how easy it is to do something like this, but I didn't see them apologize to anybody or say sorry we went too far.

A research project?

It was a huge slap in the face.

THE STUNT WAS PULLED BY TWIN BROTHERS.

THEY HAVE A YOUTUBE PAGE WHERE THEY POST PRANKS - SOME ARE HARMLESS -- BUT OTHERS INCLUDE FAKE STORE ROBBERIES AND KIDNAPPINGS TO GET A REACTION FROM THE PUBLIC.

ONE OF THE BROTHERS SAID THE CHILD ABDUCTION VIDEO WAS NOT A PRANK AND REITERATED IT WAS DONE TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC -- THOUGH HE NOW SAYS THEY 'REGRET DOING IT.'

AND THAT HE 'DIDN'T EXPECT PEOPLE TO GET THAT UPSET ABOUT IT.'

There's no law against stupid.

THE POLICE CHIEF SAYS IT DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE A CRIME - THOUGH THEY ARE INVESTIGATING.

STILL -- THE CHIEF SAYS THESE KINDS OF STUNTS AND PRANKS ARE DANGEROUS AND THE TWINS RISK GETTING SHOT FROM THE PUBLIC OR POLICE.

Based on what they're seeing, they can believe a crime is taking place, serious crime taking place, that they would have been justified yes.

PARENTS HOPE THE TWINS THINK TWICE ABOUT THE VIDEOS THEY MAKE AND NEVER COME NEAR THIS QUIET PARK AGAIN.

It was appalling for them to put people through this.

Everybody that's here at the park with their kids, trying to enjoy a sunny afternoon and scared the crud out of them. Return to index of stories...

FIBROMYALGIA TREATMENT-TC MON

FATIGUE -- MEMORY LOSS - AND SLEEP AND MOOD ISSUES.

ALL SIGNS OF FIBROMYALGIA.

AND THAT'S WHAT MAKES IT HARD TO DIAGNOSE.

NOT A SINGLE CAUSE AND ALSO NO OUTWARD SIGNS OF THE CONDITION.

IN TONIGHT'S A-B-C 7 HEALTHY LIVING -- WE BRING YOU A LOOK AT SOME OF THE MORE EFFECTIVE WAYS OF DIAGNOSING AND TREATING THE ILLNESS. Return to index of stories...

FIBROMYALGIA TREATMENT-PKG

"You can't outwardly see there's anything wrong with someone with

fibromyalgia. They've often gone 10, 15, 20 years going to different doctors

with pain in different areas of their body."

FIBROMYAGLIA PATIENTS ARE MORE LIKELY TO FEEL THAT PAIN THROUGHOUT THE

MUSCULOSKELETAL AREAS BUT CAN ALSO HAVE HEADACHES - PAIN IN THE JAW - ABDOMEN AND BLADDER.

DR. DANIEL CLAUW SAYS THIS CONDITION IS RELATED TO DISTURBANCES IN HOW THE BRAIN PROCESSES PAIN AND OTHER SENSORY INFORMATION.

"It's a fundamentally different type of pain that's coming more from the

brain and spinal cord than it is coming from the area of the body where

someone is experiencing the pain."

DR. CLAUW SAYS MANY PATIENTS ARE TREATED WITH NARCOTICS AND OPIOIDS TO

CONTROL THIS PAIN.

"These drugs have never been shown to be effective in fibromyalgia and there

's some evidence now that these drugs might actually be making people with

conditions like fibromyalgia worse."

WHAT IS PROVING TO BE EFFECTIVE - EDUCATION.

ABOUT HALF THE RISK OF DEVELOPING FIBROMYALGIA IS RELATED TO FAMILY HISTORY AND PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESS.

SYMPTOMS OFTEN START IN CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS AND CAN ALSO

AFFECT MEN.

TREATMENTS INCLUDE BEHAVORIAL THERAPY AND EXERCISE LIKE YOGA AND

TAI CHI.
