MORE STORMS ON THE WAY TO SOUTHWEST FLORIDA.

GOOD MORNING I'M AMY SEDLACEK.

AND I'M CHANCE SEALES.

IT IS GOOD FRIDAY,

AND SOUTHWEST FLORIDA SCHOOLS. ARE OFF. HEADING INTO EASTER WEEKEND.

LET'S GO TO ABC7 STORMWARN METEOROLOGIST ALLYSON RAE,

TRACKING ANY POTENTIAL THUNDERSTORMS.

After what ended up being a pretty stormy Thursday afternoon, we'll see the potential for more unsettled weather today as a cool front heads our way from the Gulf of Mexico.

The showers and storms probably won't arrive until this evening and tonight, so most of our Friday should actually be dry.

One change we'll notice through the day is more cloud cover streaming in ahead of the front, which will make for a pretty cloudy day across Southwest Florida.

Despite the extra clouds, it'll still be quite warm today with temperatures peaking in the mid 80s this afternoon.

A strengthening southerly wind will also keep the air feeling quite humid and tropical; winds will stay between 10-15 mph through the day with some higher gusts above 20 mph.

The main window for rain will be from sunset tonight through the early morning hours on Saturday, and depending on how well the storms can hold together before arriving in Southwest Florida, a few of the storms could be strong with highs winds and heavy rain.

After the rain pushes out Saturday morning, we're in store for improving weather for Easter weekend! Expect a slight cool down along with a nice dip in humidity with highs only in the low to mid 80s.

Sunday will end up being the sunnier day since clouds will probably linger a while through our Saturday.

If you're planning to attend an Easter Sunrise Service, you might actually end up needing a light jacket as temperatures drop close to the upper 50s by early Sunday morning.

As we head into the next week, our weather stay quiet, warm and sunny with highs returning to the mid to upper Return to index of stories...

Overnight things remained calm in Ukraine

Overnight more violence in Ukraine

The joint agreement, between the US, Russia, Ukraine and the European Union

is blunt. Pro Russian militants must retreat from those Ukrainian

government buildings they seized in violent protests. And the Ukrainians

promise those who lay down their weapons will be granted amnesty

But within hours of the agreement President Obama voiced doubts about the

Russians.

PRESIDENT OBAMA

MY HOPE IS THAT WE ACTUALLY DO SEE FOLLOW-THROUGH OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS

, BUT I DON'T THINK, GIVEN PAST PERFORMANCE THAT WE CAN COUNT ON THAT.

And just hours before President Putin said he reserves the right to send in

Russian troops, who remain by the thousands along Ukraine's border.

And in Donetsk in Eastern Ukraine.deeply disturbing reports of Anti

Semitic Flyers circulating, calling on Jewish citizens to register or face

deportation. Israeli media saying Jews coming out of a synagogue were handed

leaflets that ordered they provide a list of property they own as well.

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR - SUMMER TRAVEL JUST AROUND THE CORNER. PRICES ABOUT

TO JUMP 10-20%

BUT HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO TAKE THAT DREAM VACATION THIS SUMMER FOR JUST A

FEW DOLLARS?

BRYCE CONWAY SAYS IT'S POSSIBLE. HE HASN'T PAID FOR A FLIGHT IN 3 YEARS.

B; This is how I travel, I try to spend as little money as possible and get

the best accommodations possible.

WE INVITED CONWAY TO A TRAVEL CHALLENGE. TWELVE HOURS TO FLY HIMSELF TO A

DESTINATION OF OUR CHOOSING. CAN HE GET TO FORT LAUDERDALE FLORIDA, HAVE

LUNCH ON THE BEACH, AND MAKE IT BACK, FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING?

FIRST UP, WE HEAD TO THE AIRPORT.

RJ: how much would this ride normally cost?

B: Uh to rent a car to take 3 people to the airport? 60 bucks, 70 bucks

maybe?

A SEVENTY DOLLAR PRIVATE CAR, TOTALLY FREE. CONWAY SAYS HE SCORES TWENTY

DOLLARS CREDIT EVERY TIME A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER SIGNS UP FOR THE SERVICE

USING HIS REFERRAL CODE ONLINE.

RJ: Off we go.

IN THIS FIRST CLASS CABIN, WE FOUND PASSENGERS PAYING FIVE - SIX - AND EVEN

A THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR TICKETS.

RJ: My ticket was 550 dollars.

B: My ticket was literally free. So was my breakfast.

he got it by using credit crads.

BRYCE: I currently have 23 credit cards / RJ: 23 / B: 23 yeah and I know

that a lot of the financial advice columns read and even financial advisors

that you talk to say woah woah woah that's crazy/ TBD BITE HERE THAT

EXPLAINS THIS ISN'T SMART IF YOU JUST START SPENDING MORE.

WE SOON TRADE THOSE CLOUDY SKIES OF NEW YORK FOR THE SUNNY BEACHES OF

FLORIDA.

SINCE BRYCE GOT US TO THE AIRPORT, I RESERVED OUR RENTAL CAR TO GET US TO

LUNCH. BUT BRYCE HAD SOME ADVICE ON HOW I COULD HAVE SAVED EVEN MORE MONEY.

B: So there's this great website for consumers, it's called autoslash.com.

RJ: Autoslash B: Autoslash like slash the price.

And basically what you do is you can rent a car anywhere, when you go to

autoslash.com you just put in your name and confirmation number and they

will constantly be searching for a better rate on that exact same car and if

they find one Return to index of stories...

FORECAST-WX WALL

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

Sharon Day, Co-Chair, Republican National Committee

What will be the big issues for the GOP in 2014 and beyond?

Donna Fiala, Collier County Commissioner, District 1

Will she run again in 2016? Are roads up to the growth surge?

The program clip contained in the preview video is a portion of the Sharon Day interview:

Lytle: I know that you're the national co-chair, but we're in Florida and the governor's race is crucial.

Day: Absolutely.

Lytle: So the big issues going forward for Florida and nationally will be?

Day: Obamacare, I think it's Obamacare. It's the economy. It continues to be jobs. It continues to be those issues. If you look again the disaster Obamacare, you may have seen it, I was catching up on news on planes, was today that the census borough has decided to…they're going to ask completely different questions on who was insured and not insured than they did last year.

Lytle: Right and the idea is how many people are really covered and is the 7 million figure we hear about…is that really operative?

Day: Absolutely, and I think it's convenient that we all of a sudden change how we ask the questions so they'll be no comparison in 2013. Return to index of stories...
