WEATHER-WXWALL

FULL WX

It's been very nice Saturday so far across Southwest Florida, featuring a drop in humidity along with slightly cooler temperatures.

We'll keep a partly to mostly cloudy sky in the forecast tonight as winds continue to stay onshore, but winds will relax a bit more as we close out the evening.

We'll notice a nice cool down overnight, which will make for a very pleasant evening. Overnight lows will drop into the low to mid 60s along the coast and even as low as the upper 50s deeper inland.

If you're heading out early in the morning for a sunrise service, you may even need a light jacket with temperatures about 10 degrees cooler compared to our Saturday morning lows.

Easter Sunday is looking picture perfect for Southwest Florida with plenty of sunshine, comfortable temperatures and low humidity; expect a partly cloudy sky with highs only in the low 80s.

As we head into next week, our weather goes into cruise control with sunshine at the wheel; highs will be in the mid to upper 80s, and rain chances will stay very low for most of the week. Return to index of stories...

WEALTHY WELFARE COUPLE BROKE-ONCAM

A COUPLE IN MINNEAPOLIS IS FACING FELONY FRAUD CHARGES AFTER AUTHORITIES SAY THEY WERE DRAWING WELFARE -- WHILE ACTUALLY LIVING IN LUXURY.

THEY WERE FOUND IN FLORIDA.

"He doesn't have 97 million dollars, he is indigent, he is poverty stricken!."

A FAR DIFFERENT PICTURE EMERGED TODAY OF THE COUPLE PROSECUTORS SAY BILKED TAXPAYERS OUT OF 167-THOUSAND DOLLARS IN WELFARE PAYMENTS.

"To a large extent what he told welfare was accurate, he was indigent and he was eligible in many ways for their benefits."

PROSECUTORS CLAIM COLIN AND ANDREA CHISHOLM WERE TAKING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE, WHILE LIVING IN LUXURY, RENTING AN EXPENSIVE DEEPHAVEN HOME, RAISING SHOW DOGS, EVEN BUYING A YACHT IN FLORIDA.

CLAIMING SHE'S BROKE, A JUDGE AGREED AND APPOINTED ANDREA CHISHOLM A PUBLIC DEFENDER.

"More than likely we anticipate Ms. Chisholm is returning to address the charges and take responsibility for her actions."

BECAUSE OF THE COUPLE'S ALLEGED FLIGHT TO THE BAHAMAS TO EVADE PROSECUTION, BOTH OF THEIR BAILS ARE SET AT 3-HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS.

DESPITE THE CLAIMS THEY HAD MILLIONS IN ASSETS A FEW YEARS AGO, DEFENSE ATTORNEY TOM KELLY SAID THE COUPLE IS FLAT BROKE.

"They were living off loans, living off gifts people made." Return to index of stories...
