FIRST WEATHER-WX CTR

THIS WEATHERCAST HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE ABC7 WEATHER STAFF.

IT IS NOT A VERBATIM OF WHAT IS BEING SAID, BUT IS THE FORECAST FOR OUR AREA.

It's vintage July weather for Southwest Florida over the weekend.

Expect plenty of sunshine for the morning through the early afternoon until the clouds darken and storms form by the mid to late afternoon.

Plan on the possibility of intense lightning, torrential rain, and gusty winds with today's storms, and now that our steering winds are more easterly, the stormy weather will tend to stay closer to the coast through the weekend.

Our temperatures will be quite characteristic of what we expect for this time of year; daytime highs will reach the low to mid 90s with overnight lows in the mid to upper 70s.

Humidity levels will stay high through the weekend as well, putting heat index values near 100 degrees.

On the waterways this weekend, winds will be southeasterly before the sea breeze sets up with winds from 5-15 mph. The water temperature in the Gulf at Fort Myers Beach is at 87 degrees. Our inland inland waters will stay at a light to moderate chop.

As we head into the upcoming week, we'll continue with our afternoon storm pattern through Tuesday, but some slightly drier air combined with an onshore flow should help to cut down our rain chances a little by mid week.

In the tropics, there are currently no areas of concern, and tropical development is not anticipated through the next five days. Return to index of stories...

I like taking them because I think I'm attractive and I think it's fun

AS FOR HOW MANY JORDAN'S KID SISTER MACKYLA TAKES?

About 20 cuz I want to put them on Instagram and send them to my friends.

20:14:1020:16:00 I have seen selfies that they've taken and posted that I've

PARENTING EXPERTS SAY THERE'S REASON FOR CONCERN. THERE ARE NOW SELFIE

If your child develops a compulsion or an obsession with selfies, you

find out why that's happening.

THE EXPERTS WE SPOKE WITH SAY PARENTS SHOULD ERR ON THE SAFE SIDE AND

MAIN WEATHER

FISH DROPPED FROM PLANE-ONCAM

FISH DROPPED FROM PLANE-PKG

THEIR JOURNEY BEGINS AT A STATE HATCHERY IN KAMAS.

THE FISH ARE FED BY A MAN NAMED TED HALLOWS.

HE SUPERVISES THEM.UNTIL THEY'RE READY TO BE RELEASED INTO THE WILD.

I got the idea to put the go pro on the plane.

WATCH AS THIS PLANE DUMPS A HEAPING LOAD.OF FISH.

We're in charge of coordinating the aireal stock statewide.

FROM THE UINTAS'S.TO THE LA SAL.WILDLIFE EXPERTS WITH THE D-W-R MAKE SURE THE LAKES ARE FILLED WITH UTAH'S NATIVE FISH.

AND THE ONLY WAY TO GET THERE IS BY PLANE.

In June and July we airel stock Tiger Trout, a lot of Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout and Splake and then in the fall we put Cutthroat Trout and Arctic Graying in the lakes.

THE FISH.COME OUT OF A COMPARTMENT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE AIRCRAFT.

HUNDREDS, SOMETIMES UP TO A THOUSAND THREE-INCH FINGERLINGS ARE SET FREE BUT THEY DON'T ALWAYS MAKE IT INTO THE WATER, ALIVE.

They kind of flutter down, so they don't impact very hard, they flutter with the water and they do really well.

WHILE A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF THEM DIE.FISHERMAN ARE HAPPY TO HEAR SOMEONE IS KEEPING THE STATE'S LAKES STOCKED.

I like the idea and concept of it.

From a biologist standpoint, certain areas of the high uintas, browns will obviously do well, cutties will do okay depending on the oxygen, overall i think for recreational fishermen it's an awesome thing, because it's almost Darwinian, you take the fish whoever survives, survives and the other fish will find its way out.
