I hollered at him and he just looked at me kind of funny and I

said yeah I'm locked in here."

"He kept pulling at my hand and I eventually turned around and looked at him and said what's going on and he said locked, locked!"

KING HAS A NUMBER OF HEALTH PROBLEMS.

HE SAYS THE BOY SAVED HIS LIFE.

An East Tennessee man is alive today, thanks to a fast acting 3-year-old.

The man was locked inside his car with the sun beating down and temperatures

in the 90's.

Keith William's favorite past time is playing video games, his favorite food

is string cheese and he's barely 3 feet tall. But don't underestimate him

when it comes to saving lives.

The heat inside King's car was quickly rising when he found himself trapped

Saturday afternoon. King has battled cancer, suffered from strokes and wears

a pacemaker. He says he had been locked inside at the parking lot of his

church for about 5 minutes when he saw 3-year-old Williams walk by.

King says he yelled at Keith and said 'yeah I'm locked in here. Williams

knew exactly what to do. He went to his pastor, Jack Greene and took him

outside.

It may have been his superhero shirt and his Ninja Turtle shoes that gave

him special powers that day, whatever it was, King is just thankful little

Keith was there.

King says, "I'm very thankful, I don't know how long it had been, I'd say it

probably be another 20 minutes sitting in there if he hadn't notified

somebody."

Pastor Greene was able to open the car door from the outside and get King

out.

WEATHER TEASE-WXWALL

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STORMS

Our winds will come from the west and southwest Tuesday, even during the morning hours. This setup is called "onshore flow" and when it happens it changes the weather pattern and when we expect rain in Southwest Florida.

This morning, thanks to winds coming from the Gulf of Mexico, we'll have the chance for seeing showers and even a few thunderstorms as we finish the morning and through the midday time frame. Downpours in the Gulf of Mexico will work their way onshore. Though many of these areas of rain will weaken once they get on land, you'll want to keep this in mind if you're outside later this morning.

Our onshore wind flow pattern will stay in play through Thursday. This means we stand the chance for some rain in the morning each of the next few days, with only isolated chances in the afternoon. In terms of coverage, our afternoon rain chances will be most abundant for communities along and east of I-75.

Temperatures this week look seasonally warm. Highs are expected in the low 90s through Thursday. Then they will go back up closer to the mid 90s by Friday.

TROPICAL UPDATE

No tropical cyclones are active in the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea or Gulf of Mexico. No storm development is expected in the next three to five days. Return to index of stories...

CAR BURGLARY SUSPECTS WANTED-SS-SS

AN ABC7 CRIME ALERT FOR YOU TONIGHT --

LEE COUNTY DEPUTIES NEED YOUR HELP CATCHING SUSPECTED CAR BURGLARS.

TAKE A LOOK AT THESE SURVEILLANCE PICTURES --

DEPUTIES SAY AT LEAST TWO YOUNG MEN BROKE INTO SEVERAL CARS IN SOUTH LEE COUNTY LAST WEEK --

THEY SAY THEY TARGETED SEVERAL UNLOCKED CARS ON JULY 9TH ON BEAULIEU COURT.

THE SUSPECTS ARE BELIEVED TO BE IN THERE LATE TEENS OR EARLY TWENTIES.

ONE APPEARS TO HAVE A TATTOO ON HIS RIGHT FOREARM.

IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING -- CALL CRIME STOPPERS.

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help identifying at least two young men believed to be responsible for a series of car burglaries in south Lee County last week.

According to deputies, several unlocked cars were targeted by thieves during the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 9. In one instance, a home video surveillance system captured images of two white males breaking into a victims unlocked car on Beaulieu Court. Around 3:40 a.m., the men opened the drivers side door and rummaged through the vehicle for any valuables. A few hours later, a neighbor told the victim that he found her registration papers, insurance card and owners manual for her Jeep in his yard - items which were apparently tossed by the men after entering her car. After canvassing the neighborhood, deputies discovered that multiple unlocked cars had been tampered with in some fashion in that same neighborhood during the late night/early morning hours of July 9.

"Historically, July and August are the top two months for auto thefts nationwide," said Trish Routte, Crime Stoppers Coordinator. "In the majority of cases, the victims are making themselves easy prey but simply not locking their doors. The individuals perpetrating these crimes are typically targeting neighborhoods and are checking if cars are locked. If they are, they typically move on to the next car, and have great success getting electronics, wallets and other valuables left in plain sight. We encourage car owners to take a moment after they park their vehicle and check it for anything of value and to press the lock button after they shut the door. That one simple step can make all the difference in whether or not you become a victim of a crime."

July has been designated as National Vehicle Theft Awareness Month by the National Highway Traffic Safety Association, and law enforcement agencies throughout Southwest Florida are making an extra push to educate car owners on how to best protect themselves and their property.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspects, who are believed to be in their late teens or early 20s. One suspect was wearing glasses and another had what appeared to be a tattoo on his right forearm. The men may have been driving a light colored four door sedan, possibly a Chrysler 300.

Anyone with information on the young men responsible for last week's break-ins in south Fort Myers are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. Tips may also be made online at www.swflcrimestoppers.org or by texting a tip to CRIMES Keyword: REWARD.

WEATHER-WXWALL
