WEATHER TEASE-WXWALL

Warm and humid conditions look set to finish out the work week with highs this afternoon near 92 degrees.

We'll continue to see a few showers along the coastline into the lunch hour, but coverage will remain quite isolated.

This afternoon we'll be expecting to see some downpours and storms begin to bubble up along the US 41 and I-75 corridor. Through the late afternoon and early evening the most widespread coverage of rain and thunder will pop up across the interior of the state.

Any push back toward the coastal areas of Lee, Charlotte and Collier Counties later this evening should again be isolated in coverage.

For the upcoming weekend, though a few scattered showers and storms are possible on Saturday we'll be keeping tabs on some drier air that will impact our forecast for the second half of the weekend.

The effects of this drier air will really be felt in our weather on Sunday as rain opportunities slide back considerably in the forecast.
