FIRST WEATHER-WX WALL

LOWER RAIN CHANCES FOR THE WEEKEND

Scattered showers and storms again developed in the PM hours on Friday, as highs climbed into the low to mid 90s. The storms may push into the Urban Corridor later this evening, as temps fall into the 80s. We'll see the activity end overnight, with lows in the mid 70s.

Slightly drier air works into the region on Saturday. We could see some morning rain in the coastal areas, but this activity will diminish by mid-morning. Expect more storms to develop in the PM hours, with the coverage not as great as earlier in the week. Highs on Saturday will be in the low 90s.

More dry air arrives on Sunday, and this will likely reduce the threat for storms. A couple widely scattered cells will be possible to close the weekend, but most areas will stay dry. Highs on Sunday will push into the mid 90s.

The dry and hot weather sticks around to start next week. Just an isolated pop-up shower will be possible on Monday, as temps again climb into the mid 90s.

Tuesday also looks fairly dry, with low rain chances and highs in the mid 90s.

More moisture does return into the region by midweek, raising the threat for PM showers and storms. Highs to close the week will be in the low 90s.

TROPICAL UPDATE

It is still very quiet in the open waters of the Atlantic, the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean as we move into the weekend. The atmosphere across the tropics is not very conducive for development right now.

No major activity is expected over the next 5 days. Return to index of stories...

A CAPE CORAL FAMILY SAYS THEY WERE PHYSICALLY ABUSED BY HOTEL STAFF IN ATLANTIC CITY AND THEY'RE NOT ALONE.

AS ABC'S BRIAN ROSS REPORTS-

A FEW VISITORS ARE SUING HARRAH'S FOR ITS OVERLY AGGRESSIVE SECURITY. Return to index of stories...

CAPE FAMILY SUING CASINO-PKG

The New Jersey oceanfront resort of Atlantic City promotes itself as

a place where everyone is welcome: gamblers, hipsters and families.

That's not what the Binns family of Cape Coral, Florida found.

Renee Binns: It was miserable. It was absolutely miserable.

Sot: guitar music

University of Pennsylvania student and classical guitarist Sean Oaks fared

no better.

He says his disagreement with a hotel security guard got him punched, kicked

, and stomped on, according to his lawsuit.

And it was even worse for former college basketball player Rob Coney after

his angry dispute with hotel security at a casino night club.

Rob Coney: I'm laying in a pool of my own blood. I thought I was

dying. I thought I was dead.

All of this took place in one casino in Atlantic City, Harrah's, part of the

giant Caesar's Entertainment corporation, now being sued by the unhappy

customers.

Paul D'Amato: This is the United States of America. The last time I saw and

heard, we don't beat people up for raising their voices or getting upset.

In the case of the Binns family, security moved in after Binns, a

professional poker player, became upset when told he was being evicted

because the hotel computer, mistakenly, did not list him as a guest even

though they had been staying there for two days.

Watch what very few would consider to be good hospitality.

Renee Binns: And they grabbed him and just slammed him to the

floor./and all I could say was, 'Get off of him, he's got a pacemaker.

Then, as mother and daughter headed for the elevators to their room,

security swooped in to stop them.

First, the teen daughter is wrestled to the ground and handcuffed.

And then mom brought down, and dragged off by a man in shorts her lawyer

says is the casino's head of security.

Harrah's employees have claimed the Binns and the other two now suing the

casino were the aggressors.

But its director of security, Doug Ruhl would not answer any of our

questions.

Doug Ruhl: Sir, we're not allowed to comment on any of this.

Brian Ross: Do you think it was appropriate? Did you go over the line?

Doug Ruhl:

Brian Ross, ABC News, Atlantic City. Return to index of stories...
